Astral Media relocated approximately 350 employees to four (4) floors in the heart of the action in downtown Montreal. The purpose of large-scale projects including new furniture to elaborate standards, flexible meeting rooms fitted up and optimizes the interconnectivity of employees in an environment, energetic and versatile contemporary works.

Based on four different business units client (radio, television, advertising and digital media), our concept was inspired by the broadcasting industry key words such as influence, the movement of communication, and exchange. The concept plays on the contrast between medium and message and manifests itself by way of intervention wavy graphics and pixilated.

The main challenges of this project consists in guiding clients to transition youthful and modern image and accommodate a large number of employees that were previously scattered in open space and a single standard.

Aside from the workstation, we fitted a main reception area, meeting rooms range (conference and meeting rooms, agora, etc.) as well as public service (dining room, cafe, copy center) on each floor. In order to create rhythm and gradation throughout the room messing around 6000 m2, each floor has been identified with its own color and level are linked by a central glass staircase.

Each piece is unique, numbered and varies in size and technique. ROPES are handmade in France and Germany.

54 years ago, she visited Orcas Island for the first time and decided that one day she would live there. 40 years passed before she saw it again and purchased a forested piece of land on a hillside populated with madrone trees, firs, beech, thistle, moss and rocks with magnificent views to the west. Throughout her life rocks, nature and landscape played an important role in her artwork. This attraction convinced her that this was the perfect site for her.

She requested an open, simple, low maintenance design, which works with the site in such a way that her views of the island, forest and ledges were always present within the house. Each part of the house was to be designed to accommodate the inevitable bad hips, knees and back. The program consists of a combined kitchen-dining-living area, study, master suite, art studio and storage area.

The solution utilizes some of her favorite materials; old barn wood, rusty steel, moss and rocks. Large doors slide away to open the house to the expansive views, creating a living room in the woods. The entry garden bisects the house creating two zones while it carries the site and the eye out to the view. The 800-s.f. art studio and storage area are left raw to facilitate converting them to additional bedrooms later.

The Olympic View House house is a two story home designed for a couple newly retired from careers in academia on the East Coast of the United States.  The site constraints included steep slopes, drain-field setbacks and a zoning variance.  The resultant building footprint reflects these constraints in a manner which ultimately accommodated the Owner’s goals for the house.

The house is 2,700 sf and includes all main floor living for day to day functions for aging in place.  The upper floor consists of a media area, office, piano and guest bed/bath rooms.

The house is a contemporary expression of Northwest Regionalism with both accommodation of serious weather conditions and aesthetic considerations for massing, light and presence.   The house commands views of Port Orchard Narrows and the Olympic Mountain Range beyond through a membrane of glazing rather than conventional punched window openings.  The glazing membrane in-turn allows the solid massing elements of the house to be expressed and meaningful.

A thoughtful use of both exotic materials such as Ipe and clear hemlock as cladding and ceilings respectively and more cost effective choices such as Hardi Artisan and Hardi Panel bring together a blended palette.  This articulation of this material palette simultaneously proves to be both warm and substantially grounded.

The strength of the center core of the building is emphasized by a framework of battered bases on each corner.  The tops of the bases are held short of the roof plane by two feet allowing the roof to appear to float above the body of the house.  The roof then acts as more of a canopy allowing light to penetrate the building at all times during the day and be a lantern for the streetscape at night.

In the main hall ends in a large reading room concept that attracts people to the edge of glass with views to the west overlooking the nature preserve, the Olympic Peninsula and Seattle skyline. Almost all the interior design of the building is characterized by elements of wood, which includes an entry lobby wall signatures, meeting the walls and ceiling. A gas fireplace in solving concrete and glass enclosure provides a central meeting point in a large reading room.

The new Sammamish Library has a highly insulated building envelope and efficiently. It designed to reduce heat loss and gain while maximizing passive solar gain and lighting. The practice of sustainable design has become a top priority in the development of the site and this building. The parking lot is located under the building with an elevator to access the library floor. In addition, under the library roof planted with low maintenance, native sedum to reduce water runoff. The project is created as per order of a construction company from Bulgaria. The assignment was to design an office, which to be different and remembered. Constructing the functions, which are necessary for one such space we found out the idea to make a hybrid between the desk of the manager of the company and a conference table, which he needs in order to organize meetings with clients, as well as the working meetings with its personnel. This piece of furniture turned into an accent of this office and gave it a unique appearance.

Lead by the fact that the main activity of the company is construction; we have decided that we have to design a product, which to be clearly constructively built with a visible construction, a modern vision and innovation in the organizing of the working space. We have tried to embody the main principles of this construction company in a unique piece of furniture, which occupies a central place in this office and giving it unique appearance. This way we have created this “working station”. Having in mind the hierarchy in a company we have decided to put it on a platform in order to obtain differentiation in the levels between the desk and the conference table, this way the manager of the company took a proper place in the centre and on idea higher than the others. We have used metal profiles of in corrosive steel in order to construct the frame and glasses with which to cover it. We have created one product, which besides with its appearance it impresses and with its construction.

We have designed it in such way, so it can allow us to carry 2/3 of this furniture in air, or said in other words 2,30m. Stick out consolely in the air. We used adhesives for the main part in the platform – this way we obtained the necessary stability. Besides the huge sizes and the heavy construction, the consolely pending part and the profile gilling have given a light appearance of this piece of furniture, obtaining a sensation that as if it is floating in the air.

The Club Hotel has 22 unique rooms, a rooftop sky bar and a tapas bar on the ground floor. The association is a great design and luxury features in one place. How do you think the color combination is too much? This is some description from the designer:
“The first is Singapore’s colonial past, which we have made modern tongue-in-cheek references to through art installation like features such as an larger-than-life statue of Raffles with his head in the clouds as well as through some key furniture pieces and artifacts. The second inspiration was drawn from the area’s popularity as a remittance center for turn of the century Chinese immigrants where hard earned money and wistful letters were sent back to the homeland.”

Hamilton residence has two floors. On the ground floor, there is a formal room, kitchen, separate dining room, library, bar, study rooms and informal living room. However, one thing is interesting, that is an amazing wood panel in the entrance foyer. Then on the top floor of artifacts six master bedroom with bathroom and there are a series of large balcony. From the balcony, you can see the beautiful scenery.

Located on 12th fairway golf course west of Austin, this home sits comfortably lean on the side of a steep hill show off, physically impressive hill country to the passengers on the contemporary and the golfers below. The story profiles the street camouflages the size and complexity while low-pitched roof and horizontal lines are clean cause the structure to blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment. The overall design of the 4722 square foot home consists of three separate structures, each housing functions are different but all perfectly connected by a bridge, breezeways and ’street’. A steel cantilever bridge floated back into the stone, the impressive cave covered with a garden retaining wall concave below with wind chill continuously. An abundance of windows, glass-enclosed bridge to the Master Suite and glass-lined staircase allows golf to be seen from almost every room while removing the separation of indoors and outdoors. Stalls keep the interior from the exterior, lending in the drawing in nature. Complete with swimming pool, open kitchen, fireplace and several seating areas, outdoor living spaces blend naturally with the surrounding environment creating a modern yet warm appearance. Diamond Dining Japanese Company opened Alice in Wonderland Restaurants; a beautiful dining room is divided into a certain space that tells a story. Interior space feels like a fantastic world of all possibilities, coupled with bold shapes and colors. This restaurant themed conveys a sense of uncertainty and exciting adventures, all of which occur in the interior with waiters wearing costumes psychedelic Alice.
