B199 Istanbul located in Buyukdere Street, a newly developed business district in Istanbul, Oncuoglu B199 Architectural design, with 74.500 m². This is planned as a mixed development comprising of 32 floors which is intended to be a landmark for the city.

B199 Istanbul is a project that forms the building stands out amongst the sidelines of the buildings with a design inspired by the topography of the historical city of Istanbul. Inspired by the landscape of Istanbul, the project occupies the intersection of Gultepe and Buyukdere, two urban districts with a different pattern.

Conceptually, the project was designed with special and social fluidity in the effort to create an intermediary space for a different space. This project mainly consists of residences located on upper floors.

Although high-rise buildings are designed, the project’s main composition is formed by an open terrace upstairs and downstairs social hall. B199 is designed to offer a social meeting space, like a garden which is located at roof level with the concept of shifts, to enhance social interaction. Differences from the facade and terraces are designed to optimize sunlight and views of the cityscape.

Office space is designed as a buffer zone between the retail and residential space in the middle floor. While the bottom is designed as a public space, the roof of the office is designed as a secondary level which is a green area and recreation space for use as a private citizen. Each floor and residence acquires a unique character as a result of differentiation of the front of the building and terrace for optimum benefit from the sun and city views.
